Our realms
Students for Sustainability operates through three realms to fight for our planet.
POLICY
at all levels of government, advancing environmentally-friendly legislation and stopping anti-environmental legislation from advancing
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
ensuring youth are informed and engaged on environmental issues and promoting involvement through a variety of events
COMMUNICATION
effectively communicating environmental issues, how they impact us, and why it matters, as well as keeping people informed in numerous mediums
Our goals
get as many high schoolers engaged on environmental issues as possible
craft or testify on policy that reflects a commitment to environmentalism and acts on it (includes stopping policy that counters these goals)
inform the community of environmental happenings and how they can get involved
conserve Nebraska's natural resources and greenspaces, contributing by cleaning up parks and getting involved in conservation efforts
host engaging events that focus on highlighting environmental advocacy
